Plenary Speaker

Cynthia E. Coburn is a professor at the School of Education and Social Policy, Northwestern University. She is interested in how to support, sustain, and spread innovative ideas, practices, and programs for youth. She has spent the last year studying various programs in the DML Initiative, thinking about ways to spread and scale the important work that the DML community is doing. She is particularly interested in the role of social networks in spread and scale, and the role of social policy in creating conditions that foster learning and innovation.
